I graduated with a culinary degree from Mott Community College in December 2010. I will be graduating from UMich Flint with a bachelor’s in International Business in December 2011. Those two degrees pretty much sum up my life thus far. School. School. School.
My goal is to experience culture through their food. To share a meal with someone can open up a lot of interaction. Some of the best scenes in movies or television have taken place around the dinner table. Moonstruck’s breakfast scene, “Yes Mrs. Castorini, I would LOVE some oatmeal.” Goodfellas’ prison scene, “In prison dinner was always a big thing.” Or Charlie Chaplin performing table ballet in “The Gold Rush.” Everyone can relate to food and that’s why it’s such a great starting point for conversation.
But you didn’t come here to read about my point of view, you came because you had nothing else to do on a Tuesday night. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
